I had a lovely one-night stay at the Cormorant. The newly renovated hotel is well done, with a great location close to La Jolla Cove and lots of restaurants. While the queen room was a bit snug, it was comfortable and came with some nice extras. The rooftop restaurant was a highlight, offering amazing views and delicious cocktails. However, my experience was dampened by some noise issues and an unfortunate incident with the room's cleanliness.
